Watercooler: Our New Girl-Friend

Zooey Deschanel OK, we're totally crushing on Fox's New Girl. Last evening, the comedy began and immediately won us over and done with the nerdy, cutesy charms of leading lady Zooey Deschanel. As Jess, the lately left oddball who moves along with a trio of sitcom-standard but likeable roomies, Emily's little sister discovered that sweet place - somewhere nearer to Lisa Kudrow's adorable flake Phoebe from Buddies than Jenna Elfman's annoying airhead on Dharma & Greg - that saved her from being too wacky to obtain lower with. So far as first dates go, that one would be a win. There is snappy conversation, a chuckle tunes and, since this is Fox, a little of flesh (thanks, shirt-averse Max Greenfield!). But is she a keeper? In the end, lots of great aircraft pilots have happened to bad shows, and you never know how things will feel when Lamorne Morris joins like a new roomie (Damon Wayans Junior.'s Coach was recast because of his resolve for the late-restored Happy Being).
